Tabby & Domestic Short Hair mix
Sweet Rusty was a victim during that horrible hurricane season along with several other animals, who were rescued from one of the islands by a special celebrity with a huge heart. He is Kenny Chesney, the popular American country singer and song writer. He donated all the financing to rescue and save the homeless animals. His compassion and generosity is overwhelming! How good is that, how very good is that!!!!!
Rusty was one of several cats that was rescued into one of the rescue homes. Unfortunately, it did not work out well for the person who fostered them. She contacted a super fabulous person who gives her life rescuing homeless cats and she contacted our shelter to help these abandoned sweet babies. We responded in kind.
Rusty is estimated to be a six year old gray tabby and white short hair cat. He has a wedge face, almond eyes, and a nose like a pedigree cat. Those features look very much like the Siamese breed of cat that might have been in his background. He is in good health, tested negative for FIV and FeLv, is up-to-date on all his shots, and has been neutered. He had to have some teeth extracted.
This adorable curious cat is playful, friendly, active, and has a wonderful personality. When you go to his cage, he jumps off the shelf to peek and greet you with his almond shape eyes. It is the cutest thing. It is as though he is trying to tell you to let him out of his cage and into a forever home. Come into the shelter and see Rusty peek at you from his cage.
Rusty is up to date with routine shots, house trained and neutered.
If you are interested in Rusty, please fill out an adoption application and you will be contacted.
